AVISS00053 AERODROME REPORTING OFFICER (ARO) SKILLSET

The operator of a Certified Aerodrome has the responsibility to ensure that all personnel involved in its maintenance, management and operation can competently and safely carry out their duties.

Certavation has proudly collaborated with Southpac Aerospace RTO32353, a leading provider of aviation training and assurance services across the Asia-Pacific region to offer nationally recognised AVISS00053 Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) Skillset training. The course has been developed to meet both current aviation industry standards and the requirements prescribed by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). Students must meet certain Language, Literacy and Numeracy requirements, have the ability to access and complete a series of online knowledge questions and on successful completion will receive a nationally recognised qualification. Training is delivered by an experienced facilitator with a background in flight operations, aerodrome reporting & management and technical inspections. Our clients include operators of regional and remote airports, FIFO mining aerodromes and major international airports.

NON-ACCREDITED AERODROME REPORTING OFFICER COURSE

For those tasked with inspecting, maintaining and reporting on an uncertified or remote aerodrome, the full ARO skillset is often beyond the operational requirements of the role. Personnel may benefit from training that is more practical, tailored specifically to their operation and does not require formal assessment. Delivered face-to-face at your own facility, this training builds the practical skills required to ensure safe and efficient aerodrome operations. Students will receive a Certificate of Attendance, and the Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC) training and assessment can be added to this course if required.

AERONAUTICAL RADIO OPERATOR CERTIFICATE (AROC)

Certavation's AROC course was developed and approved by CASA in 2022 to meet current regulatory standards. Our facilitator holds an approval to train and assess AROC, as well as General English Language Proficiency (GELP), which is a requirement of the AROC application process. Our AROC training and assessment is delivered in-house for groups of up to 10 students at a cost of $450 per person, which includes GST and all CASA application fees.  Please allow 5-6 hours of training for up to six participants with an additional hour required for larger groups. All applicants must apply for an

Aviation Reference Number (ARN) from CASA prior to the training and present with valid photo identification such as a driver's licence on the day.  This course can be added to the non-accredited ARO course at a discounted rate and is included in the cost of the Southpac AVISS00053 Skillset.
